JOB DESCRIPTION
The Investments Partnerships Specialist (RSA and International) undertakes the responsibilities of relationship management by coordinating key stakeholder activities, identifies key market opportunities and provides business improvement support to the Origination and Client Coverage Division

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops, identifies and manages the stakeholder management plan to support the Division in building relationships with investment partners.
2. Develops and maintains strong relationships with strategic partners (e.g. investors, project sponsors, government entities and consultants) in relevant geography to develop and grow pipeline.
3. Ensure involvement of Coverage team and other DBSA staff as appropriate in partnerships.
4. Delivers impactful on-brand and on-target partnership programs for new business prospects and current partners.
5. Partners with corporate communications and marketing within the DBSA to promote the Origination and Client Coverage Division.
6. Develops, visualizes and presents customized partnership solutions to drive deal origination.
7. Builds internal relationships through a desire to work collaboratively, promote product development and support the coverage team.
8. Leads client programmes and projects as assigned by the Group Executive of the Division.
9. Support Coverage Analysts in Identifying sector specific and deal opportunities for the DBSA through key engagements and stakeholder activities.
10. Provide reports to divisional leadership team on project opportunities identified through various engagements. Provide reports as required to relevant management and Board committees.
11. Able to manage key programmes and events in collaboration with Marketing and Communication where the DBSA will benefit from potential projects that will fall into the project pipeline
12. Present at DBSA Committees where applicable as and when required.
13. Develop presentation and speaking materials for DBSA executive team, including Group Executive: Coverage and Coverage Heads at strategic partnership forums
14. Represent the DBSA at strategic partnership forums
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
EXPERTISE & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Minimum Requirements
1. A post graduate qualification or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant degree.
2. Ten+ years in Infrastructure/Project Financing/Lending/Partnerships/Research experience
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the complex financial and regulatory environments across RSA and/or Africa.
4. In depth knowledge and understanding of financial markets and the macro landscape.
5. Experience in doing business across Africa and international organisations in the financial sector.
6. Reputed experience in Development Finance.
7. Strong organization skills and including attention to detail
8. Strong customer service orientation and ability to build and sustain long-term trust based relationships
9. Outstanding interpersonal, diplomatic and partnership skills required for building and maintaining collaborative relationships with Ministers, Senior Government Officials, partners and stakeholders with the aim of strengthening the client-country development and partnership process
10. Is well versed with the mandates, development plans and activities of the Regional Economic Communities and Countries in Africa (for International partnership specialist)
11. Flexibility to be redeployed to similar role within the Coverage Division, if required

6. Leads the participation and presentation of an organisation at investment conferences and roundtable discussions.
7. Coordinates business activities to ensure that investment initiatives are in support of government BEE strategies, broader national and regional economic development strategies.
8. Promote compliance and alignment with the strategic imperatives of both individual clients and the organisation of investment and development interventions.
9. Builds capacity to coordinate, control and manage the activities and efforts required for the implementation of the plan.
10. Builds capacity to conduct project origination exercises.
