JOB DESCRIPTION As a senior level executive of Amsted Foundry Solutions S. A. (“AFS”), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The CFO is responsible for overall executive oversight of overall financial function, financial and statistical reporting functions of the organization in accordance with established policies and general accounting practices and procedures.
The CFO assists the AFS’s Board and CEO in the development of long and short term strategic and operational financial plans. With the AFS Board oversight and participation, the CFO develops long and short-term operational and capital budgets, which are supported by the business’s long and short-term plans and objectives. Prepares presentations for the shareholders and ensures solid financial standing of the company.
Under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer administers, coordinates, and controls financial services. Directs and has managerial responsibilities for general accounting, debtors and creditors, budgeting, financial planning, decision support, contracting, banking relations, and treasury.
JOB PURPORSE: As a senior level executive of Amsted Foundry Solutions S. A. (“AFS”), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will provide expert advice and direct the financial operations of the company. This includes providing clear, concise financial information, and making sound, strategic, economic decisions for the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assessing organizational and performance against both the annual budget and company’s long-term strategy. 2. Developing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. 3. Engaging the Board, Finance, and Audit Committees around issues, trends, and changes in the operating models and operational delivery. 4. Assisting in establishing yearly objectives, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors). 5. Overseeing long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with strategic plan, especially as the organization focuses on a turnaround strategy and long-term business viability. 6. Serving as a member of senior leadership team 7. Participating in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution. 8. Preparing and maintaining regular financial planning reports; Monthly profit and loss forecast (vs. budget); Cash flow forecast. 9. Completing analysis of financial results; Develop recommendations (strategic and tactical). 10. Developing and executing analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new product launches). 11. Developing and maintaining capital budget. 12. Developing and managing the business funding model and requirements 13. Overseeing cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. 14. Overseeing cash, investment, and asset management. 15. Overseeing financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships. 16. Developing and utilizing forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans. 17. Coordinating the development and monitoring of budgets. 18. Developing financial business plans and forecasts. 19. Participating in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team. 20. Engaging the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors to develop short, medium and long-term financial plans and projections. 21. Representing the company to financial partners, including financial institutions, shareholders, auditors, public officials, etc. 22. Remaining up to date on accounting and audit best practices and general accounting principles and practices nationally and internationally. 23. Overseeing the accounting function to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems; supervise finance staff. 24. Ensuring maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures. 25. Ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for funders, regulatory, and organization Board of Directors; oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. 26. Coordinating audits and proper taxation management and compliance. 27. Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. 28. Mentoring and developingthe team of direct reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic. 29. Overseeing preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial statements. 30. Reviewing all month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and corporate/overhead cost allocation. 31. Enhancing and implementing financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems. 32. Serving as final point of escalation for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues 33. Developing and managing accounting staff. 34. Serving as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits. 35. Overseeing weekly cash management; Approve weekly payables; Execute cheque signing. 36. Overseeing debtor management and provide support to collections activities. 37. Representing company in efforts with bankers and potential investors, and shareholders. 38. Preparing various analyses and reports required for business development and growth efforts. 39. Managing the organization’s insurance requirements. 40. Developing the company’s risk management program

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE
1. A minimum of a Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA is preferred. 2. At least five years’ experience as CFO or equivalent, preferably in a manufacturing concern. 3. Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages. 4. Experience in a senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of sound financial management strategies. 5. Significant experience in or knowledge of corporate accounting, including funding management, cash flow management, compliance, and reporting.
