YOUR PROFILE 1. Masters degree in agricultural sciences or related field 2. Extensive knowledge in livestock farming (ideally dairy) and in aspects of rural development 3. Proven experience in project management including budget monitoring 4. Experience in staff management in respect to technical aspects 5. Excellent analytical and conceptional skills 6. Several years of working experience in international development projects, ideally in Africa 7. Excellent team player, very good communication skills and intercultural and political sensitivity 8. Mastery language skills in English (C2) and also in German (C2) is an advantage

Choma is the Provincial Capital of Southern Province, approximately a five hour drive away from the capital Lusaka, and two and a half hours drive away from Livingstone, home of the mighty Victoria Falls. It is possible to visit several exciting national parks nearby and in neighbouring countries like Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Zambia has a pleasant tropical climate with three seasons – cool and dry from May to August, hot and dry from September to November, and warm and wet from December to April. Choma has basic health care services, extended health care is available in the capital Lusaka. The location is suitable for families with small children, but international schools are only available in Lusaka.
