JOB ADVERT SUMMARY The Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa (Land Bank) is a specialist agricultural bank established in 1912. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB 1. To provide a professional agriculture, economics and technical specialist service to support the Province to effectively evaluate the business case viability of financing customers, including conducting on-site visits to familiarise the Bank with the business operations in which the Bank will be investing its funds, with the additional objective of minimising potential risks and financial losses. 2. Provide ongoing technical advice to the provincial team to ensure submission of high quality of applications.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. A relevant 3 year qualification in Agriculture or an equivalent 2. 5 years working experience in Agricultural Extension Services or 3. 5 years working experience in Agricultural businesses, a Co-op, or similar organisations
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES 1. Microsoft Office 2. Knowledge / Experience of financial and business analytical principles, tools and systems 3. Property Valuation 4. Principles Agricultural Economics 5. Risk Management Principles 6. Lending / Credit Assessment Principles 7. Financial and Business Acumen
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Knowledge/Experience of Agricultural Industry and commodities 2. Knowledge of PFMA 3. Knowledge of the National Credit Act, Company Law, Contract Law 4. Knowledge of the Land Bank Act 5. Extended hours as and when required 6. Travel as and when required 7. Needs to keep abreast with agricultural economic trends
