JOB DESCRIPTION The High Commission in charge of the rural sector Coordination in Niger (Haut-Commisariat à l’Initiative 3N HC3N) reports to the Office of the President. One of its tasks is to evaluate the results and impacts of the national sector strategy (the so-called Initiative 3N “Nigeriens feeding Nigeriens”), which is implemented by various sector ministries.
The German Cooperation supports the High Commission by strengthening its capacities to fulfill their mandate, via the GIZ implemented Program for productive agriculture (PromAP) The advisor post is located at the High Commission 's monitoring and evaluation unit. A specific focus is put on the highlighting of effects through the promotion of Small scale irrigated agriculture.
YOUR TASKS 1. General support for the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the High Commissioner's Office 2. Assisting the ministries involved in the collection and analysis of data 3. Support in controlling the automated internet platform for data collection 4. Participation in the analysis, editorial and media-didactic preparation of the data (reports and publications) 5. Support to the National Statistical Institute in measuring the contribution of small irrigated agriculture to the gross domestic product 6. Promoting the visibility of the effects of small-scale irrigated agriculture in the publications of the High Commission

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE 1. Degrée in agricultural economics, geography or political science or Bachelor or Master in administrative science 2. Experience in planning and evaluation methods for development processes 3. Profound knowledge of participatory planning and evaluation methods 4. Good basic understanding of agricultural policy and data collection 5. Very good written and spoken French and English language skills
LOCATION INFORMATION Location: Niger / Niamey Under the following link you will find information about living and working in Niger. 1. Place of residence: Capital Niamey 2.
