As a federal company, GIZ supports the federal government in achieving its goals in international cooperation for sustainable development.
FIELD OF ACTIVITY
Surrounded by fragile neighboring states such as Libya, South Sudan and Eritrea, Sudan is an important host, transit and country of origin for refugees and migrants. The aim of the project is to improve employment prospects for refugees and the local population through professional qualification measures and private sector support for the creation of jobs, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Sudan. The project intervenes in two interlinked components: On the one hand, selected training centers for vocational training and apprenticeship training are supported in the quantitative and qualitative further development of the training offers and their adaptation to the needs of the labor market; on the other hand, micro, small and medium-sized companies are supported in creating jobs .
YOUR TASKS
1) Conception, planning and control of tailor-made measures to increase the information management capacities of the project and selected partners
2) Technical and organizational implementation of the planned measures in the area of information management
3) Creation of tailor-made media products for the project and for the project partners
4) Internal and external communication, strategic integration of the results-oriented monitoring & evaluation system
5) Planning and control of short-term and expert assignments
6) Control of data collection, qualitative data evaluation and target-oriented data application as well as portal administration
7) Reporting to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE
1) Completed degree in information management, communication or a comparable subject
2) Several years of experience in the creation of information materials / films, print products or media campaigns as well as experience in web administration and online moderation
3) Work experience in development cooperation and / or in Sudan is an advantage
4) Knowledge of data collection, data evaluation and goal-oriented data application
5) Overview of the labor market, gender and the integration of refugees in international development cooperation projects, preferably in post-conflict countries
6) Security in the use of modern media
7) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, intercultural competence, conflict sensitivity
8) Proficient in German and English; Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
LOCATION INFORMATION
Sudan is an Islamic country. International employees, especially from Germany, are treated with a great deal of respect; the hospitality of the Sudanese is proverbial.
Khartoum offers an international school, good shopping, and basic medical care. Various restaurants and cafés offer international as well as Sudanese cuisine. There are various leisure options. The climate in Khartoum is very hot but dry, in summer the temperatures rise to over 40 degrees.
The security situation is tense. Special precautionary measures apply to GIZ employees on site. GIZ's requirements for security measures must be followed at all times. In principle, please also inform yourself about country-specific information from the Federal Foreign Office. GIZ is on site with a professional security risk management system. The freedom of movement is restricted. There are no restrictions on the part of GIZ for family members to leave the country.
