GIZ International Services (InS) is an integral division of GIZ. We offer the experience, the regional and technical know-how of GIZ in the global market and provide international clients with expertise in terms of economic and result-oriented services. GIZ International Services is preparing for the EU-funded tender: "Technical Assistance to the implementation of the support programme to Job Creation and Investment Climate" in Botswana.
The services that will be provided by the technical assistance team will involve: 1) Provision of technical assistance and policy advice to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, in the implementation of the Doing Business Reforms Roadmap, aimed at improving the Country’s overall business environment. 2) Capacity building to the Doing Business Reform Unit, within MITI, in implementing the doing business reform through effective public private dialogue and coordination with relevant Ministries. 3) Provision of capacity building to MITI and the Ministry of Transport and Communication related to the development of e-government services and simplification of procedures; 4) Provision of technical assistance to the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism to support the development of eco-tourism value chain with a focus on community-based, economically-viable ecotourism enterprises, conservation and heritage areas 5) Capacity support of public institutions, private operators and community based organizations promoting ecotourism development and community based natural resources management.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE Qualifications and skills 1) University degree in Economics, Law or equivalent. 2) Excellent analysis, synthesis and drafting skills. 3) Fluent writing and speaking English.
General professional experience 1) At least 15 years of professional experience in the field of Investment Promotion, Job Creation and Business Environment Reform 2) At least 10 years of experience as Team Leader
Specific professional experience 1) Experience as Team Leader in at least one EU-funded project 2) Experience in Public-Private dialogue to foster business opportunities 3) Experience in advising governments in the development and implementation of policy reforms enabling doing business 4) Experience in participatory and consultative processes, including facilitating workshops, stakeholder consultations, project evaluation and policy reform processes 5) Knowledge of the EU External Investment Plan 6) Knowledge of e-governance applications in the context of investment promotion is an asset 7) Previous experience in SADC and/or Botswana is an asset
