JOB DESCRIPTION The position is part of a GIZ programme to strengthen civil society in Rwanda, which provides technical advice, financial assistance and training to support its partners in applying the human rights-based approach and the principle of Leave No One Behind. The advisor will support the partner organisation Rwanda Union of the Blind (RUB), a self-advocacy organisation for people with visual impairments, in its organisational development.
YOUR TASKS 1. Supporting the organisational development at RUB based on the human rights-based approach; 2. Further development of the organisation's capacities in strategic and operational planning; 3. Support in the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships and engagement with key donors; 4. Supporting the development of the fundraising strategy and its implementation process; 5. Advising on the development of a monitoring and evaluation system of the organisation and in the quality management

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE 1. University degree in a relevant field, e.g. social sciences, political science, economics, public health; 2. Extensive experience in strategic resource mobilisation and project development; 3. Good knowledge and work experience in the field of human rights, in particular rights of people with disabilities, 4. Good knowledge of work planning and organisation; 5. Proven social and intercultural skills ; 6. Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of French is an asset
