JOB DESCRIPTION
The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a global programme aimed at preventing violence and promoting peace in crisis zones and conflict regions. CPS advisors support partner organizations in their commitment for dialogue human rights and peace on a long-term basis. This regional CPS programme focuses on developing and strengthening cross-border civil society networks in Rwanda, Burundi and eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo). The Rwandan Non-governmental-organization “Never Again Rwanda” (NAR) has been implementing the "Civic Participation and Peacebuilding Project" as a partner organization of the Civil Peace Service since 2009. The project aims to foster a society where youth participate actively in peace processes by using critical thinking in open and safe spaces for dialogue and appreciate diversity.

YOUR TASKS
1. Serve as a liaison between NAR, Partner Organizations and Technical Working Groups and the GIZ
2. Support with joint proposal writing and project development
3. Provide technical support in strategic planning and implementation of key programme events and activities
4. Actively support in design of tools and processes for Monitoring and Evaluation collection and analysis, documentation of project outcomes as well as impact
5. Develop the capacity of project officer and volunteers for effective planning, context analysis, coordination, documentation and reporting
6. Facilitate regular reflection and learning workshops among Civil Society Organisations and members of Technical working group to discuss progress, challenges, opportunities, lessons learnt and adaptive implementation strategies to achieve project outcomes
7. Provide technical support in data analysis, report, writing, documentation and communication of project impact
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
YOUR PROFILE
1. Master’s Degree in Peace studies, Conflict Transformation, Development Studies, Political Science, Governance and Democratization
2. Up-to date knowledge of the latest development thinking on peacebuilding programming
3. Experience in working with youth
4. Knowledge in working with a range of stakeholders including civil society, government, international, national and regional organizations
5. Fluency in French and English

LOCATION INFORMATION
The security situation is tense. Tailored security risk mitigation measures are in place for GIZ staff in country. GIZ staff must adhere to security measures at all times.
