JOB DESCRIPTION The project Health System Strengthening – Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights aims to improve the quality and increase the uptake of basic health services in the target region of Kara. The project pursues the following objectives: (1) supporting the roll-out of the national quality management approach, (2) assisting selected stakeholders in the communities and in the local population to supply information on sexual and reproductive health topics, and (3) implementing measures to improve management skills in the Ministry of Health. You will work in the public health office of the Kara region, providing organisational and management advice to help build up its management skills.
YOUR TASKS 1. Strengthening the regional health centres, to enable them to coordinate the various stakeholders more efficiently; 2. Supporting the health centres at regional and prefecture level in managing the various activities relating to sexual reproduction (SR); 3. Assisting on the integration of SR activities into the planning of local health centres; 4. Cooperating on implementation of the organisational development plan; 5. Supporting research activities in the health centres; 6. Assisting cooperation between the health school for the Kara region and the public health authority, particularly in building up theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE 1. A master’s degree in social or health sciences or a similar subject, and ideally training in a healing profession, 2. Expertise in project management, monitoring and evaluation; 3. Expertise in organisational development, 4. Initial work experience, 5. Experience in communication, archiving and documentation, 6. Flexibility, patience and adaptability, 7. A high level of initiative, 8. Business fluency in French; German and English would be an advantage.
