JOB DESCRIPTION
The large-scale “Energy Efficiency in Morocco” project aims to reduce energy consumption in buildings, industry and public lighting in Morocco. To this end, strategic and regulatory framework conditions, access to incentive and financing mechanisms and the capacities of providers of energy efficiency-related services are to be improved and demand for these services increased. The political partner of the project is the Moroccan Ministry of Energy. Other important actors are the Ministries of Finance, Industry and Interior, as well as state subordinate authorities and private sector representatives.
YOUR TASKS
1. Results-oriented planning, implementation and monitoring of activities in the component energy efficiency in buildings with a focus on energy management systems and access to finance
2. Expert advice and support for institutional partners from the public and private sectors on the implementation of energy efficiency measures and energy management systems including digital solutions in their buildings
3. Advising building owners on access to financing for the implementation of energy efficiency measures
4. Processing and communication of learning experiences in implementing energy efficiency measures in buildings
5. Establish information, networking and exchange mechanisms between partners
6. Mainstreaming gender aspects into the energy efficiency in buildings component
7. Budget planning and monitoring as well as management of national and international service and financing contracts
8. Establishing and maintaining professional networks in Morocco and internationally

| REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
YOUR PROFILE
1. Completed university studies in the fields of engineering, environmental sciences, economics or comparable
2. Several years of professional experience in the field of energy efficiency, especially in the building sector and on energy management systems
3. Knowledge of relevant institutions working on the energy efficiency topic in the international context
4. Knowledge and practical experience with project management including results-oriented management and monitoring
5. Experience in the management of external consultancies and funding recipients
6. Work experience in developing or emerging countries; experience in the MENA region and knowledge of the Moroccan energy sector are an advantage
7. Business fluent in French and English are mandatory, German knowledge is desired
8. Confident appearance towards political partners and high communication skills
LOCATION INFORMATION
