JOB ADVERT SUMMARY To support the Land Bank Insurance partners and intermediaries to market, sell and deliver Land Bank Insurance products to the target market
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Achievement of Sales targets in the designated Sales Channel 1. Consult the strategy and roadmap of LBIS to determine the objectives and targets to be achieved 2. Independently make decisions to advance overall business targets 3. Engage with Sales Manager/MD on sales targets to achieve with clients 4. Agree to the sales targets per individual and ensure that the LBIS deliverables are met 5. Monitor the sales activities to ensure that targets are achieved 6. Institute corrective steps when targets are not met 7. Assist relevant partners in the formulation and execution of sales strategy 8. Compile the relevant reports and submit to the relevant role players within allocated time frames 9. Manage and negotiate sales contracts/agency agreements with partners in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
Manage Stakeholder Relationships 1. Identify the relevant role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies 1) Land Bank 2) Management 3) Business Partners 4) Land Bank wholesale partners
2. Set-up meetings with the role players (Co-ops/Wholesale Partners) to discuss the roles and responsibilities and possible areas of cooperation, improvement and conflict 3. Drive negotiations with role players on a continuous basis 4. Obtain mutual agreement on the resolution of issues, meetings required and the delivery of inter-dependent outputs and results 5. Agree to the expected outcomes from each party
Provide Support to Sales Staff on Insurance Products 1. Receive and analyse a request for support to determine the nature and extent of the support to be provided; or 2. The need for provision of support is identified during the execution of outputs 3. Diagnose the type of support to determine the appropriate action 4. Analyse Provided information 5. Provide possible solutions 6. Conduct research to develop a solution 7. Escalate the problem to the best possible person for resolution 8. Attending exhibitions and shows 9. Provide/develop a support/solution; or 10. Escalate the problem to the relevant role players for a solution/support 11. Ensure that escalated problems are resolved within the allocated time frame 12. Implement the support actions/solution in accordance with procedures and test to ensure that the solution is functional
Facilitate Training 1. Train the relevant Staff (wholesale partners) on products, processes, computer systems and claims. 2. Conduct continuous broker training on products 3. Receive a request for the training and analyse to determine the nature and extent of the training; or 4. Identify the need for training in accordance with queries and staff application 5. Conduct a Training Needs Analysis to determine the exact learning requirement 6. Define the learning objectives in accordance with the learning requirement 7. Develop the learning material in accordance with the objectives; or 8. Update and improve current training material to reflect new information and business imperatives 9. Consult the requester to ensure that the learning material will address the needs 10. Determine the facilitation technique required to facilitate the training 11. Determine the equipment required to assist in the facilitation of the learning 12. Arrange the training event with the relevant role players
Marketing 1. Have a Marketing Plan for each partner to sell existing products and launch new products 2. Determine the requirements related to the selling and launching of new/improved products 3. Plan the campaigns required to implement the new/improved products in terms of 4. Resource requirements 5. Promotion material 6. Support documentation 7. Pre-launch training requirements 8. Marketing 9. Manage the launching and selling of the products in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements 10. Manage launching and selling of products within allocated time frames
Manage Branding, Advertising and Events for each channel/partner 1. Determine the branding requirements 2. Allocate the branding actions to the relevant role players 3. Ensure that the branding is completed in accordance with the LBIS Corporate Identity 4. Manage the branding actions within allocated time frames 5. Co-ordinate relevant agricultural events with the Land Bank Marketing Department

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. NQF 4 Qualification or Equivalent Qualification (1 Year) and FAIS Representative 2. B Com (Accounting/Insurance) or equivalent 3. 5 years experience including in Sales, Deal Structuring 4. 2-4 years Insurance Experience
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES 1. Advanced Microsoft Office 2. Ability to navigate FSB site and verify intermediary credentials 3. Knowledge and understanding of the insurance products and services available to the agricultural industry to stay abreast of the industry with attractive agricultural insurance products and services 4. Knowledge and understanding of the elements and instruments utilised in sound financial planning activities 5. Knowledge of Short term and long term insurance industry 6. Knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to insurance companies such as FAIS Act, Short and long term Insurance Acts, 7. Marketing skills: The business activity of presenting products or services in such a way as to make them desirable
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Travel extensively 2. Extended hours as and when required 3. Driver’s License (Code 08)
