MAIN JOB DESCRIPTION |
ABOUT THE ROLE 1. We are recruiting a Research and Members Administration Intern to join AVCA for 6 months and play an important role in providing valuable insight to teams across the business, with a particular focus on supporting the Member Services, and Research and Data teams. 2. This role is an opportunity to learn about and gain experience in the African PE & VC industry and join an organisation that is undergoing digital transformation. It is suitable for those who may want to develop careers in research and/or business development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Members Services Support 1. Support the member data migration and periodically update member records. 2. migration of members data into Salesforce and updating member records. 3. Monitor email inbox and support ongoing members engagement tracking system. 4. Support management of AVCA Committees 5. Troubleshoot enquiries and provide administrative support for the AVCA Act as the secretariat for member meetings preparing pre-meeting packs and high-quality note-taking.
Research and Data Support 1. Assist with data collection to update AVCA’s Research databases 2. Review and update research data on CRM 3. Review existing databases to create versions with publicly available information 4. Assist with providing timely responses to internal and external stakeholder research-related requests

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
SKILLS REQUIRED 1. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills 2. Experience using Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel 3. Experience of CRM systems is desired, but a willingness to learn is essential 4. Ability to work on your own initiative, meet deadlines and organise workload 5. Be a team player 6. Positive attitude and willingness to learn
