OVERIVEW
1. Headed by Director General, Treasury and Portfolio Management, Treasury and Portfolio Management Department (TMPD) of NDB is responsible for fund raising, liquidity and portfolio management and related functions. This position is part of the Treasury Division (the funding function) under TMPD and will report to the head of the division.
2. The Treasury Division is responsible to all aspects of fund raising for the bank from international capital markets and from domestic markets, mainly of the member countries of NDB.
3. The role is responsible to fund raising by execution of funding transaction for the bank.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
1. Identify, Establish and Maintain funding programmes – EMTN, GMTN and similar programmes across all key markets.
2. Fund raising from Capital Markets by identifying appropriate issuance windows, managing all deal/drawdown documentation.
3. Engage with Bankers, Legal Counsels and other 3rd party service providers as part of the funding programme and issuance.
4. Contribute to the banks strategy formulation with regards to funding and policy matters adjacent to the funding function.
5. Other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of 7-9 years of relevant professional experience in a multilateral development bank or private sector bank or financial institution with hands-on experience in the fund raising in global debt capital market and local currency markets.
2. Hands on experience in managing transactions in G3 currencies in Reg-S/144A will be essential.
3. Experience in fund raising in local currency markets preferably in NDB’s member country currencies – both onshore and offshore issuance formats.
4. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the fixed income markets in general, and hands -on experience in debt capital markets.
5. Understanding of the process and methodology involved in rating assessment in general, and specific experience in rating of sovereign and multilateral development banks from major global credit rating agencies.
6. Experience in establishing of MTN Programmes and executing transactions including preparation of offering circulars, supplements, contractual documents, due diligence process, book-building, pricing and settlement. Must have hands on experience in engaging with all key parties viz Bankers, Legal Counsels, Stock Exchanges, Credit Rating Agencies, Clearing Systems in the context of a transaction.
7. Experience in managing fixed income issuance, especially the experience in managing the deal marketing, deal roadshows, book building and pricing of public issuances and private placements.
8. Understanding of the ESG and Green Bonds including the knowledge of types of ESG/Green Bonds, taxonomies, issuance process, allocation, impact assessment and reporting.
9. Good communication and interpersonal skills with high resilience and drive in achieving objectives and goals.
10. Relevant experience in a multi-cultural work environment fostering a climate of team work and collaboration.
11. Master’s Degree or its equivalent in a finance, economics, banking or related areas from a reputed university. Relevant certification(s) from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be preferred.
