JOB ADVERT SUMMARY The Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa (Land Bank) is South Africa’s only specialist agricultural bank established in 1912. The bank’s mandate is derived from the Land Bank Act 15 of 2002. The Bank serves South African commercial agri-businesses and bring specially designed financial services within their reach, with a focus on the transformation of the agricultural sector.
These services enable farmers to finance land, equipment, improve assets and obtain production credit. Land Bank provides financial services that have moved with the times and continues to provide services to agri-business and constantly reviews its offerings to ensure that they match the needs of the industry. As change has swept across the sector in South Africa the socio-economic makeup of agriculture has altered, bringing new entrants from historically disadvantaged backgrounds on to the land. These new farmers are facing the challenges of establishing sustainable agri-businesses across the agricultural value chain, with Land Bank providing a commercial lifeline through the offering of appropriately designed financial products that facilitate personal and commercial viability in a sector that is vital to the sustainability of South Africa and its people.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB 1. Work closely with PIMS departments and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. 2. Act as the Administrator of the PIMS workflow systems (Excalibur). 3. Develop and manage BI solutions.
Key Performance Areas 1. Workflow System Support, Maintenance and Changes to Business Solutions and Processes 2. Collaborate with business users 3. Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations 4. Business Intelligence Solutions development and execution 5. Provide reports, processes and Excel VBA solutions

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB |
PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. National Diploma Business Intelligence certification 2. 3 years experience in IT related functions 3 years working knowledge of the Collections environment 3 years practical experience developing computer programs
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES 1. SQL Server skills including SQL objects development, performance tuning, data analysis and integration 2. Workflow Administration (preferably Excalibur) and campaign 3. Development Business Analysis & Business process engineering Microsoft Office Applications Business Intelligence software (preferably Power BI)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Extended hours as and when required.
