JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is a leading aggregator and distributor of music across Africa and has recently entered the Indian and Southeast Asian markets. They are currently expanding operations and looking to hire an Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing - Lagos.

JOB OVERVIEW
1. As the Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing, your primary role will be to engage with our existing audience and entice more users to view the company’s digital assets in West Africa.
2. The role entails strong communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, growing and evolving environment.
3. The company actively uses social media as its most important tool to reach out to its audiences, and you would need to use your creativity in developing and executing the company’s social media objectives.
4. You would have a strong ability to spot trends, adapt to the constantly changing digital landscape, and sharp analytical skills to always stay on course.
5. You would be expected to monitor and be accountable for the ROI on all efforts and investments made on digital marketing within your region.

We will, further, be expecting you to communicate with our Content Partners on a regular basis to strategize and execute marketing plans for upcoming releases. Following the execution of these plans, you would also be expected to report back to the Content Provider on what value your actions were able to add to them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Planning:- To plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
2. Promotion:- Responsible for promoting content links for various distribution platforms like YouTube, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, etc. Coordination with local marketing resources and the digital team for upcoming content and planning promotions accordingly.
3. Analytics:- Lead all analysis and reporting associated with Social Media, including weekly/monthly reviews and insight based planning sessions
4. Graphics:- Creation of the graphics & creatives that are to be posted
5. New Ideas:- To propose innovative ideas, in order to induce creative growth strategies.
6. Social Media Management:- Design, build and maintain companies’ social media presence.
7. Performance tracking:- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
8. Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners.
9. Assist with development and the execution of paid social media strategy, inclusive of campaign objectives, KPIs, targeting/segmentation, etc. with a particular emphasis on upper funnel, general branding campaigns promoting media rich content
10. Develop an audience targeting strategy by campaign; you must have knowledge of Lookalike audiences, retargeting and how to experiment and constantly iterate to fine the right audiences by interests and demographics
11. Develop the media flow chart for paid social branding campaigns; determine the length of time and spend for each campaign
12. Maintain a deep understanding of current and emerging channels and network capabilities

Key Areas Include:
1. Social media marketing: Developing distinct online campaigns to promote content by attracting high numbers of Internet followers through social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
2. Search engine optimization (SEO): Developing strategies to increase number of visitors/ clicks to company website or download links by getting high-ranking placements in search results.
3. Pay per click (PPC) campaigns: Sponsored online advertising
4. Mobile marketing: Includes App-based, in game, WhatsApp, location-based and SMS marketing.
5. Affiliate marketing: Promoting content on other websites, using digital networking.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB
1. Relevant degree or certification and equivalent practical experience.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Demonstrated ability to drive followership growth and engagement on social media.
4. Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to operate with energy and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
5. Be able to adapt to a constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
6. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
7. Social media analytics experience and a knowledge of marketing ROI calculations are both a “must have”
8. Must be comfortable crafting strategic marketing plans and presenting them to the management and clients
9. Familiarity with the music/entertainment industry would be useful
10. Being an avid user of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and Tik Tok, would also be beneficial
