ABOUT BUREAU CENTRAL DE COORDINATION (BCECO)

The Central Coordination Office was established by Presidential Decree No. 039 of August 8, 2001 with the main mandate to manage major projects financed by the World Bank, the African Development Bank and other bilateral or multilateral donors .
When BCeCo was created, relations between the Democratic Republic of Congo and development partners were virtually suspended. However, some humanitarian aid passed through non-governmental organizations. The weakening of public structures and the extreme difficulty for the State of mobilizing the skills required to manage effectively and according to the criteria of transparency and efficiency, the funds that the international community was preparing to grant the country.
